Children’s Day Memoirs
I was impressed by the mismanagement of Mother Hash – LagosH3 when I saw the clips related to Children day celebrations on Monday 27/5/24. LH3 runs weekly by 6 pm on Mondays and it’s not every time the Children’s day falls on a Monday Hashing day.
The clips brought memories of how my two boys; now men in their own right cut their hashing teeth in the LagosH3 from circa 2002 aged 12 and 6. They loved it. I did not allow the younger 🏃🏾♂️ run off me as i didn’t trust his Lagos road safety awareness. The older one out runs me easily and love to chase after Fiki d Priki who was a front running bastard back in the days.
Years later, they helped me to lay trails whenever I hosted the Manchester H3.
They have both moved out and work in London area now.
Unfortunately they are not actively Hashing as of now. I hope the young men will connect with Hashing again.
The older one got his name
“ What d Fuck” when I took them with me to the alternative World 🌍 InterHash in Brussels Belgium 🇧🇪 2014
And the younger one got his name from the Lagos H3 “ Giraffe 🦒 “ on a holiday to Lagos in 2022. A well deserved name as he is the tallest in the family at 6ft 4in
Looking at those clips from last Monday was a trip down memory lane.
